Set into the table top (under the glass) is a "sociological" map of Belgium by Paul Vidal de la Blache, printed in color and published by Armand Colin in Paris in 1917. The map is from a folio of wall maps by Paul Vidal de la Blache (1845 – 1918). Vidal de la Blache was an important figure in French sociology and is regarded as the “‘founding father of’ the French School of Human Geography”. Map published in 1917. Table made ca. 1970
