6" H 15.2cm H Item description: Chinese bowl with Dutch engraved silver handle, Kangxi period (circa 1700). The handle is 19th century, with hallmarks. Fine white porcelain with blue underglaze decoration. Each side panel contains a landscape with a lady. She is seen variously seated, standing, drinking wine, playing an instrument and regarding the gardens. The sides are divided by chamfered corners with panels containing stylized fungi and trellis ornament. In the bottom of the bowl, three boys play. The silver handle is engraved with a floral spray.marks: Wan Li six character reign mark within a double ring on the porcelain.
