A familiar theme, rendered with sophistication. The urn is meticulously drawn without color, suggesting that it is silver rather than porcelain or marble. The bouquet contains seven species in a balanced arrangement reflecting the neoclassical taste of the mid-nineteenth century.in the original frame, with original back and glass. The picture has been opened recently. The glass was cleaned and an acid-free buffer inserted for protection.
