Late 19th century Shiraz carpet in full pile, wool on wool foundation. The selvages are original, wrapped in alternate bands of colored wool. There are minor losses to each fringe end. The wool is quite lustrous. The color palette is broad and all derived from natural dyes. The designs are a full assortment of Shirvan motifs, including animals, tree of life, boteh, and more.
