Safargaleev, Kamil Kurbanovich (Astrakhan 1928 - 2000) Oil on artist's board A sketch of the Volga by the well-known Soviet artist Safargaleev, who was active in his native city of Astrakhan. Safargaleev attended the Kazan Art School (1946-49), then entered the Latvian Academy of Arts 1949, from which he graduated with honors in 1955. He joined the USSR Artists' Union in 1956. This painting has several ink sketches and inscriptions on the reverse.
